All employees can Log into MyJCCC and CDS to change their personal information. Employees assigned as department owners and editors can access department resources to create and update content.

Department administrators can assign someone as editor and notify by sending an e-mail request to the Administrator, Karen Davis., dkaren@jccc.edu .  Department administrators should notify College Information when the editor has a change in job function as a department editor.

Requests should include the cost center number; the name of the person needing access and the role as owner, notify or editor.

  • If you are the owner/notify, you have the ability to create, edit, approve or deny resources for publication.
  • If you are the editor, your responsibility is creating and editing resources in your assigned cost center(s). You will be able to change a resource’s status from edited to pending.

Roles and Responsibilities for Editors and Owners of Web Sites

  • Edit: may create and edit articles in assigned cost center(s).
  • Owner: may act as editor and approve or deny articles in assigned cost center(s).
  • Notify: same as owner, acts as a back up to the owner (not all cost centers will have this).
  • Administrator: may create, edit, approve, deny, and publish articles in all cost centers and content at the system level.
  • Web Editor: same as administrator, acts as back up to the administrator (not all cost centers will have this).

Important: As content approvers (owner/notify), you are responsible for ensuring the content you approve meets JCCC information privacy guidelines, copyright and ADA standards.
