Distance Learning
Description
Distance learning courses at JCCC vary somewhat from professor to professor. Some are offered for credit while others are non-credit in nature or offered for continuing education units (CEUs). Some distance learning courses are offered online, some are delivered over cable television, some are self-paced, some are CD-ROM or video-tape based, and some use a combination of approaches.

The Distance Learning Mentor/Coordinator can assist faculty with the development of distance learning courses by focusing specifically upon ways to adapt instructional methods to the online environment. Brochures and handouts are available that will provide tips for ensuring successful online courses.
