Center for Teaching and Learning
History of CTLFaculty and administrators developed the Center for Instructional Innovation at JCCC in 1990. In 1991, the name was changed to the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). The CTL is a faculty-based program counseled by a campus wide advisory committee. CTL OfferingsThe Center for Teaching and Learning provides a variety of activities for faculty. CTL ContactsThe Advisory Council provides overall direction and guidance for the CTL. The mission of the council is to promote, facilitate, and honor the enhancement of teaching and learning at JCCC. In addition, the council assists in visionary planning and supports and promotes the CTL activities. Faculty DevelopmentA variety of resources and services are available for faculty at JCCC. We support our motto of "Learning Comes First at JCCC." PublicationsSharing of ideas and approaches to teaching and learning are available in various publications and online. Adjunct Certification TrainingThe goal of ACT is to provide adjunct faculty with the tools and resources that assist them in becoming more effective educators in the classroom. |
