The ASE Program is the largest association-sponsored, voluntary certification program in the world. Sponsored by ACT, this test is given for auto mechanic certification. It is available at the JCCC West Park campus, in three sessions, twice a year, in May and November. Registration is done directly through ASE/ACT. Each session begins promptly at 7 pm; late arrivals cannot be admitted. The total testing time is 4 hours. A photo ID and registration are required at the time of the test. Please note that no walk-in testing is allowed, and that examinees may take only those tests for which they are registered. Examinees may only take exams on the scheduled days—no make-up or early testing is permitted. Registration information can be found at the ASE website.

An examinee requiring a reader/translator must have received written authorization from ACT before the test date. No more than two regular tests may be taken on any test date by an examinee using a reader/translator.
