All candidates must preregister for the official GED Test in person.
Pre-registration:
- Is held at Testing Services, Student Center Bldg., Room 334, from 8am to 4pm on scheduled dates. Pre-registration held on Thursdays are from 10am to 4pm. Candidates should arrive by 3pm to complete the process by 4pm
- Refer to the GED Test Schedule and Preregistration Schedule.
- Is conducted on a walk-in basis, first come first serve.
- Will take approximately one (1) hour.
The following are required at the time of preregistration for candidates 18
years or older:
- Current KS Driver's License or KS ID.
- Referral form that shows passing GED Practice Test Scores (practice test scores are valid for six months from the initial test date).
- Social Security Number (no card is necessary).
The following are required at the time of preregistration for candidates 16
or 17 years of age:
- Current KS Driver's License or KS ID.
- Referral form that shows passing GED Practice Test scores (practice test scores are valid for six months from the initial test date).
- Compulsory Disclaimer and Exemption form from the high school in which candidate resides.
- Social Security Number (no card is necessary).
- Parent or legal guardian must be present and show a photo ID.
Certain conditions apply if the candidate is an emancipated minor, is
adjudicated and under court authority or has a marriage certificate.
