Career Life Planning Process
Your Career Decision-Making Process handout: Your career decision-making process is just what it says it is…a process that is ongoing. The arrows in the graphic point in both directions, indicating that there is movement in the process. Throughout your life, you may find yourself revisiting this process. Career counselors can discuss the career assessment options available to “discover yourself” and the many resources available in the Career Services Center to “explore career/life options.” Your Career Decision-Making Process Steps Toward a Career Decision handouts: Handouts have been created by the career counselors in the Career Services Center to illustrate both the "initial" and "next" steps involved in the career decision-making process. Questions for individuals to consider are included for each of the components in the decision making process. First Steps toward Exploring Careers Next Steps toward a Career Decision Strong Interest Inventory/Holland Code handout: A detailed description of each of the six interest areas including typical work activities, potential competencies, associated self- concept and values, potential work environments and typical hobbies. |
