Honors Graduation Requirements

Students wishing to graduate from the Honors Program must meet the following requirements:

  • Complete 4 one-credit hour honors contracts. Students may also enroll in Honors sections of courses that are 3 credit hours, such as Composition I, and receive 1 Honors contract credit.
  • Complete 1 Honors Forum class (3 credit hours).
  • Complete 1 interdisciplinary class.
  • Complete a 20 hour JCCC Community-Based Learning project.
  • Meet all requirements for a two-year degree with a cumulative 3.5 GPA.

Students admitted into the Honors Program are expected to meet at least once per year with the Honors Program counselor/advisor to plan their program of study.  Students must demonstrate progress each semester toward meeting program requirements.
