International Partnerships
JCCC has ongoing faculty and student exchange programs with a number of colleges around the world. Faculty have the opportunity to teach at these colleges, and at the same time enhance their knowledge and understanding of the host country and its culture.
Faculty interested in participating in an international exchange with a partner college should contact the International Education Office by May 1 of the academic year preceding the year of the exchange.
JCCC's partner colleges include the following:
• Udmurt State University, Izhevsk, Russia:
JCCC has an on-going relationship with the Department of Lexicology and Phonetics at Udmurt State University. JCCC faculty members have spent from three weeks to a semester at USU teaching a variety of courses in English to students who are English education majors. Every year JCCC welcomes one or two teachers from USU who teach short-term, non-credit courses through the Intensive English Program. Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China:
JCCC maintains an active exchange program with the English Department at NPU, located in Xi'an, a sister city to Kansas City, Missouri. JCCC faculty members have taught a variety of subjects in English at NPU. The JCCC Model UN Team helped start a Model UN program at NPU, and NPU's Model UN Team frequently visits JCCC when attending competitions in the United States.
