Hundreds of students enroll in a variety of JCCC telecourses annually. These courses are equivalent to on-campus classes and can be applied toward both two and four year degrees. Telecourses transfer as easily as all other course offered by JCCC.  Enrollment procedures and tuition are the same for telecourses and on-campus courses. Textbooks, study guides, and information packets are available at the JCCC bookstore. Just remember to identify yourself as a telecourse student. Telecourse exams are administered by the JCCC Testing/Assessment Lab.

Telecourse students may check out complete sets of the course DVDs on a free-loan basis from the JCCC library one week before the beginning of each semester. A student ID and proof of enrollment in the telecourse are required to take advantage of the free-loan DVDs. Telecourses may also be viewed in the JCCC library and on the Time Warner of Overland Park cable system (Ch. 17), on the SureWest of Johnson County cable system (Ch. 17), and on the Comcast of Olathe cable system (Ch. 22). See the department's Cable TV Programming page for the current broadcast playout schedule.

Captioned versions of most of the telecourses are available.  Please verify that a course you are interested in is captioned by contacting Media Production at X 3347 or the JCCC library.

Contact the JCCC Counseling Center at 469-3809 (TDD: 469-3832) for general information about JCCC telecourses or contact an instructor for information regarding the specific content of telecourse.
