The number of community agencies, non-profit organizations, schools, and care facilities in the area to which student referrals can be made is extensive and constantly changing. Consequently, the following list is not intended to be comprehensive, but rather, representative of the volunteer opportunities available to members of the community. JCCC students have completed service-learning assignments at these locations, and they may be of interest to you. However, not all sites provide activities or assignments that will meet your instructor’s requirements for specific courses. For more information on locations, you can check the websites or discuss them with the Service-Learning Coordinator.

We welcome student recommendations about other sites which may be unfamiliar to us. Your suggestions are one way by which our list has grown. New sites can then be contacted, programs evaluated and their staff members trained. To have such locations approved, you must contact your instructor and the Service-Learning Coordinator.
