How Career Pathways Works

Beginning in high school, you'll take a focused course of study including mathematics, science, technology, communication, workplace skills and career development. The courses are designed and delivered in ways that emphasize application of knowledge and assessment by performance.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop a career plan
  • Identify an educational plan to reach career goals
  • Learn to adapt to workplace changes
  • Increase options to continue your education or enter the workforce with marketable skills
  • Take sequenced courses that build higher level skills
  • Get an early start on a college certificate or associate's degree
  • Become better prepared for the workplace of the 21st century

After graduation from high school, you can continue studying in your chosen field by pursuing an associate's degree at JCCC or a bachelor's degree at a four year institution. After completing an associate's degree, you can continue your education at a four year school or enter the work force.
