Participation in a portfolio review is required of all students in the Graphic Design Program. Those students who receive the top portfolio review score in the beginning, intermediate and advanced credit levels in the program are awarded a scholarship. Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours and have a 2.5 GPA or higher. |

Communication Design/Graphic Design Scholarship

Ranges from $200 to $800 per academic year. |

| Eligibility: |
Participation in a portfolio review is required of all students in the Communication Design/Graphic Design Program. Those students who receive the top scores for their color group (colors are based on length of experience), are rewarded with a scholarship. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 is required. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admission application are required. |

GCIU Local 235-M Training Fund Scholarship
| Amount: |
$1,000 per year. Award covers tuition and books, with excess funds to the student. |

| Eligibility: |
Available to students in the Graphic Design program. Must be enrolled in 9 credits of GDES degree courses. Renewal for spring semester is dependent on maintaining a 2.5 GPA or higher and 9 credits of GDES degree courses. The JCCC scholarship and JCCC admissions applications are required. Must submit a 300 word essay on why you are pursuing a career in Graphics Design and a written recommendation from a college professor or high school teacher or counselor. Must be enrolled in 12 hours in total. Must also submit a current transcript showing cumulative GPA and submit a schedule for the fall semester. |

Ken Walker Communication Design/Graphic Design Scholarship

| Eligibility: |
Applicant must be a declared Communication Design/Graphic Design program major, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester at JCCC. Student must have completed CD230 (Drawing and Media Methods 3), as well as the majority of the required first-year studio courses in the Communication Design/Graphic Design program. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 is required. The applicant must be a declared Graphic Design/Communication Design major, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester at JCCC. Student must have completed GDES 131 Drawing and Media Methods 2, as well as the majority of the required first year studio courses in the Graphic Design Program. A portfolio of work completed in JCCC Graphic Design studio classes including GDES 130 Drawing and Media Methods 1 and GDES 131 Drawing and and Media Methods 2 is required. Preference will be given to the student whose work exemplifies extraordinary ability in graphic design. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admission application are required. Current transcript must be submitted |
