Earning an associate's degree through JCCC's Paralegal Program can help you complete a bachelor's degree.

If you want to earn both a four-year college degree and a paralegal certificate

If you have a two-year associate's degree and a paralegal certificate and want to finish your four-year college degree,

JCCC's Paralegal Program has options for you!

Students who have earned both an associate's degree and a paralegal certificate at JCCC, requiring 64 hours of college credit, may transfer to one of the five schools listed here to earn a four-year degree. All of the schools listed have transfer or completion agreements with JCCC's Paralegal Program and will accept all or most of the 64 credit hours earned through that program. Depending on the college or university selected, students will need to earn 40 to 60 upper-level college credits to receive a bachelor's degree.

JCCC's Paralegal Program has partnership agreements with these four-year institutions:

Fort Hays State University, Fort Hays, KS
Classes are taken online or via television at the JCCC campus or nearby sites. The university grants a bachelor's degree in general studies.

National American University, Overland Park, Kansas
Classes are taken at the Overland Park campus. The university grants a degree in Paralegal Studies.

Ottawa University - Kansas City
Classes are taken at Ottawa's Overland Park campus; students work toward a bachelor's degree in legal studies.

Washburn University, Topeka, KS
Classes are taken on-line or via television at the JCCC campus or nearby sites. The university grants a bachelor's degree of applied science.

Webster University - Kansas City, MO
Students take classes at Webster's satellite campus in KC area toward a bachelor's degree in legal studies.

Students must pay the tuition charged by the college or university granting the four-year degree, even if the classes are taught at JCCC.

Students should also investigate transfer programs at Mid America Nazarene Univerity in Olathe, KS and Baker University in Overland Park, KS.
