Speech
The Speech Communication department offers courses in public speaking, interpersonal communication, intercultural communication, personal communication, debate and business and professional speech.
Speech classes are offered days, evenings and weekends. Public Speaking, Intercultural Communication and Interpersonal communication are offered as hybrid online courses as well. The faculty facilitator is currently Terry Helmick.
The debate team is nationally ranked and has won numerous competition awards, including several national community college debate and forensic championships. The debate coach is Terri Easley.
