link: Matching GiftsMatching gifts are company-donated contributions that match the contributions made by their employees, thereby doubling or tripling the value of their gifts. This program enables a donor to increase the impact of their contribution to the JCCC Foundation. To find out if your company participates in a matching gift program, contact your human resources or community relations department for a matching gift form. Then, send it along with your gift to the Foundation. You can also request a "Double Your Dollars" brochure from the JCCC Foundation to see whether your company offers such a program. The "College or University" brochure lists more than 960 companies that match donations to higher education institutions. These companies have matching gift programs. JCCC Employee Contribution ProgramJCCC employees can make can make a donation through payroll deduction. Complete an enrollment application form or contact the JCCC Foundation office at 913-469-3835. Click the following link for more information: Gifts of Personal PropertyWorks of art, books, automobiles, equipment and furnishings are considered gifts of tangible personal property and feature attractive tax benefits. If you are interested in making a gift of personal property, please contact the JCCC Foundation at 913-469-3835 to discuss its potential use and acceptance. Gifts of PropertyIf you are interested in making a gift of appreciated land or other real estate to the JCCC Foundation, please contact the Director of Institutional Advancement. Gifts of property provide attractive tax benefits. You can avoid paying capital gains tax and in some case can receive a tax deduction for the full value of the gift. Gifts of Life InsuranceDonors wishing to support JCCC through a gift of life insurance will find numerous advantages. Contact the Director of Institutional Advancement for assistance. Planned GivingPlanned giving (or "charitable gift planning") refers to the process of making a charitable gift of estate assets to one or more nonprofit organizations, a gift that requires consideration and planning in light of the donor's overall estate plan. Such gifts usually include legal documents and often require the assistance of a qualified professional advisor to complete. Because of the size and potential impact of such gifts, a donor should consult with his or her professional advisors before completing the process.
