Some Enchanted Evening 2009
Overland Park Marriott
On Nov. 14, 2009, the Johnson County Community College Foundation will celebrate our annual Some Enchanted Evening, a scholarship benefit to support students in need of financial assistance in pursuing their dreams of a college education. This black-tie gala includes a gourmet dinner, a social hour and fine wines with dinner, entertainment arranged and performed specially for the evening, and dancing until midnight. This year’s event chairs are Brad and Libby Bergman. The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Johnson Countians of the Year award to Terry and Peggy Dunn for their long-time contributions to our community. This year, the JCCC Foundation will provide more than $600,000 toward student assistance. The college annually distributes more $30 million in federal grants and loans for which each applicant meets the federal guidelines, yet the need for student assistance at JCCC is significant. Last year, Some Enchanted Evening raised $300,000 in sponsorships to support student scholarships. We are counting on the continuing generosity of our sponsors to help provide much needed support for JCCC students. |
