More than 400 people attended Johnson County Community College’s 2009 Dollars for Scholars fundraiser.
The auction raised more than $51,000 for 30 scholarships and program funds.
The evening at the Ritz Charles in Overland Park, Kan., featured live and silent auctions, a buffet dinner, beverages, a raffle and games of chance and entertainment.
The birthday party theme celebrated the college’s 40th anniversary.
Several college teams raised money for student assistance and these JCCC programs.
