Evening with the stars at JCCC

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The science department at Johnson County Community College will present Evening With the Stars at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 4. The event is free and open to the public.

William Koch, associate professor of science, will begin the program with a presentation on Fun Naked-eye Objects of the Night Sky in Craig Community Auditorium (room 233 of the General Education Building).  

Following Koch’s presentation, weather permitting, Doug Patterson, associate professor of science, will oversee night sky observing at the Paul Tebbe Observatory located on the roof of the Classroom Laboratory Building. Some objects of note that will be viewable are the Orion Nebula, Pleiades Cluster, Mars, Saturn and the moon.
