Candidate forums to be available on the web

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Beginning Oct. 16 through Election Day, Nov. 7, candidate forums featuring contenders for public office in Johnson County and in Kansas will be available via streaming video on Johnson County Community College’s Web site at http://video.jccc.edu.

Before each election, JCCC’s Media Production and Services department, in partnership with the League of Women Voters and The Kansas City Star, conducts and videotapes forums with local candidates for public office to be shown on the college’s cable television channels. The contenders respond to questions posed by members of the League of Women Voters, local media and JCCC faculty and staff.

This is the first time the videos have been available over the Web. Forums featuring these candidates will be available online:
