JCCC will accept applications for community arts partners

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Between now and Feb. 28, 2007, Johnson County Community College’s division of Continuing Education and Community Services will accept applications from organizations wishing to become community arts partners for the 2007-2008 academic year.

The partnerships help nonprofit community organizations present programming in the college’s Carlsen Center. For partners, the rental fee is waived for Yardley Hall or Polsky Theatre for one day, on a space-available basis.

Potential community arts partners must be not-for-profit organizations, but not necessarily performing arts groups, and must go through a selection process that looks at criteria such as the mission of the organization, the target audience of the program and other revenue sources. Johnson County groups receive preferential consideration.

To request an application or for additional information, call 913-469-4423, or stop by 205 Carlsen Center at the college.
