New Web-based Software Displayed at JCCC

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – A new Web-based software, AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) will be demonstrated from 6-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, in room 306 of the Office Classroom Building, Johnson County Community College.

The presentation will also include a discussion of the impact AJAX is having on the information technology industry and the “when and why” people are using it.

AJAX is a new technique people are using to develop Web-based software that acts and feels like a Windows application, according to Jim Lossing, JCCC professor, information systems. Use of Google Maps has increased the demand for learning AJAX.

For more information about the AJAX demonstration, contact Lossing at 913-469-8500, ext. 3249, or jlossing@jccc.net.
