Campus Ledger Named Gold Medalist

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- The Campus Ledger, the student newspaper of Johnson County Community College, has been named a Gold Medalist by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.

The Campus Ledger scored 935 of a possible 1,000 points in a newspaper critique judging content, presentation and business practices for issues from 2008-09.

Photography, profiles and arts coverage were highlighted as key strengths of the publication.

The editor of The Campus Ledger was Jennifer Harris, Overland Park. The adviser was Anne Christiansen-Bullers.

The Columbia Scholastic Press Association, based in New York City, is a national organization for high-school and college newspapers.
