Holocaust survivor to speak at JCCC

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Peter Loth, Olathe, a Holocaust survivor, will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, in Yardley Hall of the Carlsen Center, Johnson County Community College. Loth’s lecture is free and open to the public.

Loth’s story is recorded by his stepdaughter, author Sandra Kellog Rath, in the book Peace by Piece. Having grown up in post-World War II Poland, Loth knew very little about his past.  With the help of the American Red Cross, he discovered that he had been born in Stutthof Concentration Camp. Loth is an international speaker who carries a message of forgiveness.
