OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Fred Logan, KCTV-5 political analyst, Kansas City Business Journal public affairs columnist and attorney, will present Politics in the Age of Obama: Perspectives in the Nation and Kansas as part of the Polsky Practical Personal Enrichment Series from 7:30-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, in Polsky Theatre of the Carlsen Center, Johnson County Community College,
The seminar is free, but seating is limited. Reserve tickets by calling the JCCC box office, 913-469-4445. Reserved covered parking is available. Refreshments and networking are offered one-half hour before and after the program.
Logan will speak on the following topics:
Logan has served as the political analyst for local CBS affiliate KCTV5 since 2002. In 2008, he wrote “Fred Logan’s Campaign Blog” on the KCTV Web site. He covered the 2008 Democratic and Republican National Conventions for KCTV5. He wrote extensively on the conventions and provided commentary in live shots from Denver and St. Paul.
Logan’s “Public Affairs Journal” column appears every other week in the Kansas City Business Journal. The Kansas Press Association gave him a First Place Award of Excellence for Column Writing in 2008. He has twice served as a panelist for programs at the Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics, University of Kansas, and served as chair of the Kansas Republican Party from 1987 to 1989. He is an attorney and partner with Logan Logan & Watson, L.C., Prairie Village.
