Halloween Family Concert Entertains Families

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – A Halloween Family ConcertFest begins at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, with a reception in the Carlsen Center lobby at Johnson County Community College. At 7 p.m. there will be a stage parade for children in costume, children’s ballet by Legacy School and the highlight of the evening, a concert by the Overland Park Orchestra, all in Yardley Hall. Patrons are encouraged to attend the event in costume.

The reception will include free face painting by the Zonta International Clowns, cookies and punch, and free balloon animals. Philip Barbour, retired Overland Park Police officer, will appear as the “Town Crier.”

After the concert, each child will receive a gift bag of candy provided by the Friends of Overland Park Arts.

The Halloween Family ConcertFest is free and open to the public.  No tickets or reservations are needed. Co-sponsors are JCCC Brown & Gold Club, City of Overland Park and Friends of Overland Park Arts. For more information call JCCC Brown & Gold Club at 913-469-8500, ext. 4305.
