Cavaliers third at Blue Devil Classic

OVERLAND PARK, KS -- The Johnson County Community College men's golf team recently recorded a third place finish at the Kansas City Kansas Blue Devil Classic at Dub's Dread Golf Course. The Cavaliers fired a team score of 630, six shots off the winning score by the host, KCKCC. Missouri Southern State University was second with a 629 total.

Two members of the JCCC golf team were among the top seven finishers in the field. Leading the way as he as all season was sophomore Trevor Johanson. He fired back-to-back rounds of 76 for a 152 total, and finished in a tie for second-place. This is Johanson's fourth runner-up finish this fall. He also has a third-place finish.

Sophomore Bryce Rowe also had a strong effort, finishing seventh with a 157 total. He opened with a 77, and followed with a round of 80. This is Rowe's first top 10 finish as a collegiate player.
