Cavaliers runner-up at second designated

OVERLAND PARK, KS -- All five members of the Johnson County Community College golf team finished in the top 20 at the second KJCCC Designated Tournament, Monday afternoon, powering the Cavaliers to a runner-up finish at Quail Ridge Golf Club in Winfield, Kan. The Cavaliers fired a team total of 614 to finish in a tie with Coffeyville. Hutchinson won the event with a 583 total.

Sophomore Miles Christensen led the Cavaliers with his third consecutive top 10 finish on the season. Christensen finished 10th with a 154 total over 36 holes. He opened with a 78, and followed with a 76. Christensen also has finished second and tied for fourth in two previous tournaments.

Freshmen Nate Allison and Trevor Johanson tied for 13th with 155 scores. Allison fired rounds of 81 and 74, and Johanson had a 78 and 77. Freshman Bryce Rowe placed 18th with a 156 effort. He opened with a 74, and closed with an 82. The fifth member, Garrett Carver, tied for 20th with a 157 total. He had rounds of 77 and 80.
