OVERLAND PARK, KS -- Johnson County Community College freshman Trevor Johanson registered his best tournament of his collegiate career earlier this week at the Indian Hills Invitational at Ottumwa Country Club in Ottumwa, Iowa. Johanson finished two under over 54 holes to place second behind Steven McGlynn of Indian Hills.
Johnason shot one over par (70-73) for Monday's two rounds, then capped the tournament with a three under 69 on Tuesday to claim runner-up honors. His
69 is the lowest competitive round this season by a JCCC golfer, and ties the 12th lowest round in school history.
Johanson, who recently earned honorable mention All-Kansas Jayhawk Conference honors, ranks second on the team in stroke average (77.6) and top 10 finishes (4).
Johanson and the rest of the Cavaliers will complete their season at the NJCAA National Tournament May 19-22, at Hampton Cove River Course in Huntsville, Ala.
