Losing personal belongings here on campus can be particularly trying. More importantly, as busy as JCCC students and faculty are, little time is left to make an in-depth search for a particular item. However, many found items are sent to the Johnson County Community College Police Department, where they are temporarily held as a courtesy.

Recovered Property is a two-tiered system.

TIER 1:When an item is turned in to campus police it is placed in Temporary Lost and Found, located in Carlsen Center, Room 115. Items may be claimed by contacting the police dispatcher at Carlsen Center, Room 115, during normal business hours.

TIER 2:Items that remain unclaimed are removed weekly and placed in the police department's Lost and Found Secure Property Room, located in the General Education Building, Room 335A (inside the Craig Community Auditorium).

1) Call the college operator (0) or the Police Department's Property Room (5678) if you have lost an item. You may also check the on-line listing on this web page.

2) A check will be conducted to see if your property has been turned in to campus police. Please note that due to the volume of inquiries you will only be contacted by the Property Officer if your property has been turned in to Lost and Found!

DISCLAIMER:Terms such as Gold, Silver, Diamond, etc., refer only to what the item looks like and does not imply that the item is or actually contains precious metals or stones!

Descriptions are copied verbatim from the Lost and Found Inventory Ticket.

Temporary Recovered Property Storage in Carlsen Center (CC115) is open seven days a week during normal campus hours. Items transferred to the Police Secure Property Room, are available by appointment only. Contact the department's Property Officer at extension 5678 to arrange a pick up time for your property.

Items listed here are located in the Police Department's Secure Property Room, GEB 335A. Names in parentheses, such as (Smith) indicate a name that was found on the item.

The JCCC Police Department does NOT accept organic matter, floppy disks, or any other computer storage media (flashdrives, thumbdrives etc.). Please turn in lost items as soon as they are discovered. This increases the possibility of returning items to their owners. Do not store quantities of items to be turned in later. Mass pickups of items will not be made nor mass drop offs of items accepted. Property not turned in to campus police cannot be returned to it's owner!

You must have a picture ID to pick up your property. Property will not be released to anyone but the owner. Property not claimed by the end of the current semester will be disposed of per police department policy.
