Police Department, The JCCC

The JCCC Police Department, is located in Overland Park, Kansas on the campus of Johnson County Community College. The JCCC P.D. provides service 24 hours daily, and is an integral part of the college's dedication to developing and maintaining a safe and secure campus through the cooperative efforts of many college departments.

Charged with ensuring safety and security for the college, the department strives to fulfill its responsibility to each member of the college community by providing quality services that will assist you in making the time you spend here safe and enjoyable.

The department provides a full range of services including, but not limited to, responding to all crimes committed on campus, providing crime prevention services/programs, enforcing traffic laws and maintaining crowd control for campus special events. The department maintains close liaison with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies in implementing and coordinating campus safety and law enforcement operations.

K-10 Connector Bus Route

A new transit service will begin that connects the University of Kansas in Lawrence with Johnson County Community College and the KU - Edwards Campus. The new transit route is sponsored by Johnson County Transit in cooperation with the City of Lawrence, the University of Kansas, Johnson County Community College, the Kansas Department of Transportation, and the Mid-America Regional Council. The service will operate Monday through Thursday from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The fare for the service will be $2.50 per one-way trip or you may buy a 10-Ride Pass for $15.00. The service is open to the general public; students, commuters, and others are encouraged to take advantage of this new inter-regional transit service.

National Sex Offender Registry

This Web site is provided as a public service by the U.S. Department of Justice. Interested members of the public have access to and may search participating state Web site public information regarding the presence or location of offenders, who, in most cases, have been convicted of sexually-violent offenses against adults and children and certain sexual contact and other crimes against victims who are minors. The public can use this Web site to educate themselves about the possible presence of such offenders in their local communities.
