2009-10 Upcoming Events

The 2009-2010 Performing Arts Series season promises to be one of historic and cutting-edge performances, celebrity names and diverse cultures.

Philharmonia of the Nations, conducted by Justus Frantz, with pianist Jon Nakamatsu Feb. 13 In 1995, the Philharmonia was founded as a symbol of peace. The young, professional musicians in the orchestra hail from over 40 countries and five continents. Their common language is music.
Band of the Irish Guards with the Pipes, Drums and Highland Dancers of the Royal Regiment of Scotland Feb. 19-20 Celebrate tradition. The Royal Regiment has been globe-trotting for more than 100 years, paying tribute to the brave and providing musical support to troops.
The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess Feb. 26-27 Pride, prejudice and passion entwined with the heartbeat of jazz and blues. That’s the spirit of Gershwin’s classic American opera.
