Cantus, All is Calm
8 p.m. Out of the stillness, a soldier sings Silent Night, and both sides lay down their arms for one night, for a brief truce in the midst of the Great War. Cantus sings and narrates a re-creation of the Christmas Truce of 1914. The program also includes Vaughan Williams’ arrangements of The First Noel, Coventry Carol, I Saw Three Ships, and others. 7 p.m. Polsky Theatre |
