8 p.m. War of the Worlds is truly the mother of all space invasions. Originally performed in 1938, this 60-minute radio broadcast of an “eyewitness report” proclaiming an invasion from Mars caused a nationwide panic. Then, just when you realize there’s not a Martian sitting next to you, another science-fiction classic sweeps you to The Lost World. Travel back in time to a primeval plateau where fearless explorers discover a place where dinosaurs roam and the fate of the human race hangs in the balance.
