Enrollment for Credit Classes

CREDIT ENROLLMENT DEADLINE

Beginning in the fall of 2009, students who wish to enroll in a credit course must do so prior to the first day the course meets. Students may not enroll on or after the first day a course begins regardless of what time of day the class meets. No late enrollment will be allowed. JCCC offers many courses that start later in the semester. To search for classes that have not begun, go to the JCCC Web site and select the "Late Start" tab in the Credit Class Search.

Counseling and Advising

Counseling and Advising Services can answer your questions about obtaining a degree, transferring credits, or scheduling an orientation.

Cooperative Programs

JCCC and the Metropolitan Community College District have developed cooperative agreements that allow both Johnson County and Missouri residents to enroll in selected career programs at resident cost-per-credit-hour tuition rates.

Financial Aid

Assists students with the process of applying for and attaining financial aid in order to fulfill their educational goals while in accordance with institutional and federal regulations.

International & Immigrant

The Intercultural Center serves individuals wishing to come to, or presently in the U.S. on a visa, or in asylum, refugee, pending permanent resident (those not having yet filed an I-485 application for permanent residence) or undocumented status as well as community members, with admission assistance, federal regulations advice, and world cultures education, support and programming.

Testing Services

This office provides a variety of services including administration of assessment tests for all students enrolled in credit courses. Other types of tests include proficiency tests, telecourse tests, distance learning tests, and instructor make-up tests for students who have missed a regularly scheduled exam. In addition, the center administers standardized tests such as the ACT, CLEP, GED and others.

Student Success Center

The Student Success Center is an interactive resource center offering prospective and current students nearly every informational resource and service necessary to succeed at JCCC, in one location. Professional staff is available to answer questions and assist with access and use of all resources and services.
