relationships with others. You will explore the nature of this need and
explore a variety of strategies and techniques to help find resolution of
the issues by fostering the reconciliation of the relationships that
embody these issues.

Mentoring New Mediators
The field of mediation has long recognized that classroom training alone
cannot make a mediator. Practical skills, self-discovery, and the need for
a paradigm shift can only be achieved in a clinical setting with an
experienced mediator and a clear set of learning opportunities and
criteria for assessment, feedback, and guidance. This course will prepare
experienced mediators to function as "mentors", ready to supervise and
guide new mediators in their practicum experience, as well as provide peer
consultation to other experienced mediators.
