Due to our highly interdependent natures, stress spreads unevenly through marriages, families, work groups, and society. The family influences the individual's vulnerability and resilience in adapting to life's challenges. This class reviews how stress affects individual functioning, and then focuses particularly on how stress affects a family system, and how the family influences the individual's adaptiveness.
