Am I a credit or continuing education student

Credit - Courses taken for college credit are graded and recorded on the student's official JCCC Credit transcript. This coursework may be applied toward a degree or certificate. Many students earn a certificate or associate degree at JCCC and then transfer to a four-year university to complete a bachelor's degree. Other students complete associate degrees or certificates that allow them to enter the workforce immediately upon completion. A variety of instructional methods are available including online courses, traditional classroom courses, and courses offered via television.

Continuing Education - JCCC's Workforce, Community & Economic Development branch offers continuing education courses that enhance career development and personal enrichment. Non-credit courses and contract training increase knowledge and skills while boosting job productivity and career potential. Traditional credits are not earned toward a degree, but you may earn CEUs (continuing education units), certifications and licensure within various professional education programs.
