Giving Options

Friends of Johnson County Community College can support its educational, cultural and community programs in many ways.

The JCCC Foundation gratefully accepts gifts and contributions that can be allocated across a wide variety of interests. As the donor desires, the gift may be passed on immediately to benefit students or an area of the college, or it may be placed in an endowment to work in perpetuity for the purpose the donor desires.

Personal Endowments

Donors often want to establish a named endowment in honor of their family or place of business. Regular endowments may be started with a first gift of $5,000. In cases where the initial investment is less than $5,000, personal endowments may be created over time with a minimum annual gift of $500. As a part of the personalized endowment process, donors may direct the annual proceeds to a need of the college that best fits their own personal interest.

Memorial Gifts

Relatives and friends often remember loved ones with contributions to memorial funds. This is particularly appropriate for those who have been associated with the college, its alumni association or its foundation.

Commemorative Gifts

A special gift may be made to the foundation to commemorate a special event in one's life or the life of another. This act of giving is an extremely thoughtful way of noting a special occasion and remembering the needs of the college.

Sponsorships

All of the foundation's special events and campaigns provide individual and corporate sponsorship opportunities. Each sponsorship offers a variety of ways underwriters and donors can be recognized.

Planned Giving

Estate gifts provide an excellent opportunity for people to remember the college. Donors can take advantage of various estate-planning opportunities ranging from bequests to life-income gifts.

Auction Items

Each year, the foundation solicits auction items from local businesses and individuals. Many times these items will be resold at double or triple their retail value, providing a healthy contribution to scholarships and programming at JCCC.
