With more than 10 million albums sold, nine #1 hits, and 22 Top 10 singles, Diamond Rio is one of country music’s most popular and enduring bands.
Thanks to numerous achievements in country music, including six-time Vocal Group of the Year (CMA, ACM) and 14 Grammy nominations, Diamond Rio was inducted into the Grand Old Opry in 1998.
More recently, the band won a 2011 Grammy for their latest album “The Reason.” And in 2010, “The Reason” won a Dove Award for Country Album of the Year.
Tickets
Tickets are be available for purchase online or through the box office at 913-469-4445. Tickets are $30 and $40.
A limited number of $75 VIP tickets are available for purchase online through the JCCC Foundation. The VIP ticket includes premium concert seating and admission to a post-show reception with the band.
All proceeds for this event go to JCCC scholarships and educational programs.
About the Cohen Community Series
The Cohen Community Series was inaugurated in 2008 through a gift from Jon Stewart, vice chairman of the JCCC board of trustees, college alumnus, and former president of Metcalf Bank in honor of the late Barton P. Cohen, president of Metcalf Bancshares, vice chairman and general counsel of Metcalf Bank and an attorney with Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin LLP.
Previous presenters have been Vince Gill, George Will, Phil Vassar and Marcus Buckingham. All proceeds from these events go to JCCC scholarships and educational programs.
