'Big Sonia' Film Screening

SOLD OUT! No tickets remain for the 7 p.m. showing of “Big Sonia” on Wednesday, March 21. There is an opportunity the night of the event to stand in a “cancellation line” for admittance into Yardley Hall in case there are no-shows from ticketed patrons. Presence in the cancellation line does not ensure entry into Yardley Hall for the screening.

Sonia Warshawski, one of the last remaining Holocaust survivors in Kansas City, is the ultimate survivor and uses her life's story to bridge cultures and generations.

"Big Sonia," co-directed by Warshawski's granddaughter Leah Warshawski and Todd Soliday, is more than a documentary about a Holocaust survivor. The film addresses societal issues that include health, elder rights/ageism, intergenerational communication, discrimination and injustice. A Q&A session will follow the movie.

This film screening is free and open to the public. However, tickets (while free) are required. Limit four tickets per person.
