College Programs and Initiatives
An important component of the Foundation's mission is to identify and develop partnerships that provide financial support to JCCC programs and initiatives. Several examples of college programs and initiatives the Foundation has supported in recent years are listed below.
Healthcare Simulation Lab
The Foundation helps fund JCCC's Healthcare Simulation Center which prepares nursing, respiratory care and emergency medical science students for the future of health care.
International Service Learning Projects
The Foundation helps fund JCCC’s Partnership for Service Learning program, which offers students and faculty semester-length service learning programs in 11 countries.
The Children’s Garden at JCCC’s Hiersteiner Child Development Center
Gifts through the Foundation funded the construction of a hoophouse garden at the HCDC. Children watch seeds being planted, produce harvested and then made into fresh, healthy foods.
Johnson County Adult Education
The Foundation receives grants to help support JCAE.
Currently the Foundation facilitates fundraising efforts for Women’s Basketball (FastBreak Club), Volleyball (Ace Club), Baseball (Hit-a-thon) and Athletic Sponsor recognition in the facilities fields and gymnasium. Contributions help maintain first class athletic programs by providing support for team travel and other program needs.
Hospitality & Culinary Academy
The Foundation recently completed a $3 million dollar capital campaign to help fund the construction of a new Hospitality & Culinary Academy on campus.
