Tuition

The Fire Academy class is a 12-credit course. Tuition rates vary depending upon your residency.

Certification

The Kansas Fire and Rescue Training Institute (KF&RTI) charges a fee of $110 for administering the Firefighter I certification test and $110 for administering the Firefighter II certification test, a total of $220.

KF&RTI certification fees are due about four weeks prior to the testing dates. The testing dates are at the end of the semester. These fees are not paid to JCCC.

Fire Service Entrance Exam (FSEE)

The FSEE costs $45.

Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT)

The CPAT costs $95.
