Each year a Kansas City-based charitable organization benefits from Corporate Challenge. This year, the entry fee will support Special Olympics Kansas City Metro. The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities by giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Who can participate?

Any JCCC faculty or staff member is invited to participate in this unique initiative. The benefits of doing so – health, fun and comradery – speak for themselves.

Need additional incentive to take part? Three JCCC team members have shared the value of Corporate Challenge in their own words.

“Setting a goal and being with coworkers is fun and motivational. It's just a good atmosphere and I love being around such a great community being healthy.” – Terry Harrison, NARS Director

“The events I’ve participated in with Corporate Challenge have motivated me to stay consistent with my workouts throughout the year and strive to build strength. Additionally, Corporate Challenge has also helped bring many people together within our organization.” – Gretchen Henderson, NARS Training Coordinator

“I look forward to the Corporate Challenge every year. Everyone I’ve met on campus through the various Corporate Challenge events are fun, and encourage me to try sports that I normally wouldn’t even attempt to play. Every year my athletic ability improves!” – Mary Anne Matos, Marketing Administrative Assistant
