Join us for thought-provoking, important discussions about issues that affect us all.

Curious about the impact of recent developments in migration, trade agreements and more? Join us to discuss important global and local issues, as well as refugee situations, the Middle East, nuclear negotiations, cyber conflict and more with JCCC’s chapter of Great Decisions: America’s Global Affairs Discussion Group.

Great Decisions is the largest discussion group on major world affairs in the United States. Created by the Foreign Policy Association, Great Decisions groups provide community members an opportunity to analyze objective, non-partisan information on important global issues that affect us all.

Join us for one or all discussions! Meetings will be held at the CoLab (OCB 107) every other Thursday from 2–3:30 p.m. on the following dates:

  • January 31 – The United States and Mexico: Partnership Tested
  • February 14 – Cyber Conflicts and Geopolitics
  • February 28 – Middle East: Regional Disorder
  • March 14 – State of the State Department and Diplomacy
  • March 28 – Refugees and Global Migration
  • April 11 – Nuclear Negotiations: Back to the Future?
  • April 25 – Decoding US-China Trade
  • May 9 – Rise of Populism in Europe
All students, staff and community members are welcome.
