Dan Cryer, Assistant Professor, English, presents Bridging the Gap Between Conservation and Environmentalism

Presentation 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Reception 6:30 – 7 p.m. in the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art Atrium
Open to the public

Views of conservationists (often rural and hands-on) and environmentalists (often suburban/urban and political) can clash, but the life and work of canonical nature writer Aldo Leopold shows that we share more than we disagree on. Leopold, and the current work of the Wisconsin-based Leopold Foundation, demonstrate that concern for nature bridges many differences.
