Learn more about this internationally renowned artist’s work and vision.

Alexandre Arrechea is a Cuban-born sculptor, painter and video artist who creates works of visual metaphors that address the interconnectedness of urban design with systems of power and surveillance as well as social topics like cultural inequality, cultural disenfranchisement and the disputed position of art in a global, media-driven society.

Arrechea is best known for his 2013 NOLIMITS project, which consisted of 10 large-scale sculptures of bent and twisted iconic New York buildings installed along Park Avenue.
