COM 305, Veteran and Military Student Resource Center

Student veterans and military personnel are invited to finish their fall enrollment, learn about veteran peer mentoring and meet other veterans at this daylong event.

JCCC Veteran Services and Veterans Upward Bound are sponsoring "Boots to Books" for students making the transition from military life to academic study. Attendees will gather in the Veteran and Military Student Resource Center at 9 a.m. for coffee and introductory remarks.

The morning session will focus on individual help. Center staff will assist in reviewing each participant's Personal Admission Plan.

At 11 a.m., Veterans Upward Bound representatives will present "Toolkit for a Successful College Journey" in GEB 344. An overview of VUB services and upcoming workshops also will be discussed.

In the afternoon, participants will complete their Personal Admission Plans and enroll for Fall 2017.

An RSVP is requested. Please email to register. The event is free for all current and former military or military-affiliated students planning to attend JCCC in Fall 2017.
