JCCC – where fashion is ‘made’

From Coco couture to southern goth, 15 fashion-forward student designers will showcase their original lines at Romancing the Sewn with two shows at noon and 7:30 p.m. on April 28.

JCCC’s Yardley Hall converts to a catwalk for models to display students’ design and sewing skills that validate JCCC is where the latest fashion trends are “made.” Students from the College’s Fashion Merchandising and Design program recreate an atmosphere that makes you swear you’re attending a New York City-style tent show or designer showcase.

Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Tickets for JCCC students, faculty and staff are $5 each, available through the JCCC Box Office at 913-469-4445. Proceeds benefit Fashion Merchandising and Design Club scholarships.
