Course Delivery Methods
All courses require access to a computer. If you do not have a computer at home, computer labs are available for you on campus.
You may be required to take proctored exams or complete assessments at the JCCC Testing Center.
Face-to-Face Courses- Take place in a classroom.
- Use web-based course materials
- Require basic computing skills using standard software and browser applications
Online Courses
- Use the Internet and the ANGEL learning management system to provide course content and for communicating with instructors and other students
- Require a good understanding of computer hardware, software, and the Internet

Media Courses
- Offered through either cable broadcast or pre-recorded video lessons
- Videos are available in DVD format from the Billington Library

Hybrid Courses
- Combine face-to-face classroom instruction and online web-based learning
- Less face-to-face classroom time, more online studying
- Some class meetings are required (as listed in the class schedule)
Self-Paced Courses
- Allow enrollment at any time during the semester
- Require a contract between you and the instructor
- Some courses may take up to one year to complete
- Sometimes use ANGEL learning management system
