The Career Development Center can help you see how your college major can translate into a career option – a chosen profession that integrates your interests, personality, values, skills, talents and education.

Appointments

• Schedule an appointment to see a counselor by calling 913-469-3809. 
• Bring a completed copy of the Required Appointment Checklist (PDF) to your appointment.
• Note the time of your appointment on this form and be prompt.
• If you cannot keep your scheduled appointment time, please call to cancel within 24 hours in advance of your appointment.
• To make an appointment with a specific counselor, refer to Meet Our Counselors.

You may walk in to see a counselor for a brief 15-minute session only on Wednesdays 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Come to the information podium in the Student Success Center on the second floor of the Student Center (maps). People there will direct you to the counselor log-in desk where you'll check in.

Counselors call students back to their offices in the order in which they arrive. Wait times vary. During high traffic times (enrollment periods), please arrive at least one hour before closing so you get quality time with a counselor.
